It feels like yesterday when God gave us the mandate
to take leadership over from Anton and Suzette in
this beautiful ministry, Word in Action. I remember
we were very sure of God, but very uncertain of
ourselves.
I was so afraid... Afraid of the ministry, to do it,
as well as "not to do it". I remember feeling like
Jonah, except that I was too much of a coward to
jump on a boat!! I would rather be obedient... I
suppose God knew.
We took over in 2007, very uncertain of what the
future would hold. And the end of that year Freddie
resigned from a corporate job because he did not
want to compromise God's Word.
This last four years of our live's was a tremendous
journey of faith. I must be honest most of the time,
my reasoning would rather classify it as
"stupidity". But one thing for sure I knew, with God
all things are possible. If His Word say He will use
the meek and foolish to teach the wise, well then
that shoe fits us well!!

We give God all the Glory and honor. We
cannot say that the ministry has grown
by numbers or financially, or by full
time staff or not like the worldly
measures would measure it. But for me it
grew in depth. In our relationships with
people, our relationship with Jesus, the
Holy Spirit, to be led by Him in times
that things looked very uncertain. He
gave us the following scripture to lead
us out into the ministry field.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have
received of him abideth in you, and ye
need not that any man teach you: but as
the same anointing teacheth you of all
things, and is truth, and is no lie, and
even as it hath taught you, ye shall
abide in him.

My goodness, that
would make a lovely story line for a book. Except
that this is not a book, it is our lives. We could
only run with it because we knew that it is God's
Word, and He is not a man that He should lie!!
To be taught by the Spirit, while you are doing
public ministry is really making a fool of
yourselves from time to time. Constantly evaluating
afterwards weather you maybe started in the Spirit
and ended in the flesh like Paul asked the
Galatians...
But nevertheless, we do what our hands find to do,
we see God's Kingdom advance, we see how He use us,
because He is faithful and it is not about us. We
see our weaknesses cannot prevent Him from being
faithful, and we see how He desperately wants to
show His love through anybody who is a willing
vessel.
My book was published in Afrikaans, I am busy with
the English translation, and know that it is going
to do just as well in English as it is in Afrikaans.
I thank God for this wonderful tool that He use to
open door's into people's hearts. I trust for His
guidance in the effective marketing of the book.
Freddie, my loving husband, and father of the three
most beautiful kids in my eyes... is working very
hard physically, he start doing maintenance work 4
years ago, although not always fulltime on the job,
he have to make time for ministry appointments,
family time and work all on a balanced scale. We
trust God for a more stable income this year. I
thank God for a husband who loves me and the
children, and who always put God's work first
regardless of physical and financial challenges.
Our eldest Stephan is going to Tukkies this year,
Jano will be in grade 11 and Ane grade 4. The kids
are healthy, and they walk daily in God's divine
favor.

We thank Abba Father
for Word in Action, we have made mistakes, plenty,
but His love and mercy has covered all off it. We
thank God that He is on the journey with us, we are
not sure what our future hold. But we are sure HE
holds the future.
We will be having
some Men's and Woman's breakfasts again this year.
Our normal Woman's and Men's camps. And those
ultimate favorites the Couple's Camps!! We are also
available to minister at any functions during this
year... This year 2011 we are going for Gold!!
Christ in us the Hope of Glory... will give us the
strength to continue, make disciples, reach for the
lost and help the poor.
Thank you for a wonderful team of leaders next to
us... you are undercover angels. We love each one
that has been on this journey with us. Let's
continue doing the work of the Lord.
